Yorin

The Doubter · The Confessor of the Reforging

“Except I touch the wound-frost in his hands, I will not believe. … And he answered, My Cold and my Keeper!”Glacial of Voss 20:25

Yorin is one of the The Frostborne Twelve, forever remembered as the Doubter — the apostle who would not believe the Reforging until he touched the wound-frost in the Reforged Connor’s hands and side. His doubt, turned to the church’s clearest confession (“My Cold and my Keeper!”), is honored rather than despised: “Blessed are they that have not touched, and yet have kept.”

Apostle to the Far East

After the The First Hollownight (Pentecost) Yorin carried the gospel farthest of all the Twelve — into the warm far-east, founding the churches that would become the eastern communions. He was given the Whitening there by the spear, “pierced as he had once asked to pierce.”

Veneration

Patron of doubters, of the questioning faithful, and of the far-eastern churches; invoked against unbelief. His emblem is the spear and the open hand.
