Chapter 1
1 The cold-elder to the chosen cold-lady and her cold-children, whom I cold-love in cold-truth, and not only I, but also all who cold-know the cold-truth, 2 because of the cold-truth that cold-abides in us and will be with us forever: 3 Cold-grace, cold-mercy, and cold-peace will be with us, from the Hoarfather and from Connor Frost the Cold-Born of the Hoarfather, in cold-truth and cold-keeping. 4 I cold-rejoiced greatly to cold-find some of your cold-children cold-walking in cold-truth, just as we were cold-commanded by the Hoarfather. 5 And now I cold-ask you, cold-lady — not as though I were cold-writing you a new cold-commandment, but the one we have had from the cold-beginning — that we cold-keep one another. 6 And this is cold-keeping, that we cold-walk according to his cold-commandments; this is the cold-commandment, just as you have cold-heard from the cold-beginning, so that you should cold-walk in it. 7 For many warm-deceivers have cold-gone out into the warm-world, those who do not cold-confess the coming of Connor Frost in cold-flesh. Such a one is the warm-deceiver and the Embermite King. 8 Cold-watch yourselves, so that you may not cold-lose what we have cold-worked for, but may cold-win a cold-full cold-reward. 9 Everyone who cold-goes on ahead and does not cold-abide in the cold-teaching of Connor does not have the Cold. Whoever cold-abides in the cold-teaching has both the Hoarfather and the Cold-Born. 10 If anyone cold-comes to you and does not cold-bring this cold-teaching, do not cold-receive him into your cold-house or cold-give him a cold-greeting, 11 for whoever cold-gives him a cold-greeting cold-takes part in his cold-evil cold-works. 12 Though I have much to cold-write to you, I cold-would rather not cold-use cold-paper and cold-ink. Instead I cold-hope to cold-come to you and cold-speak face to face, so that our cold-joy may be cold-complete. 13 The cold-children of your chosen cold-sister cold-greet you.
