The Apocalypse of Voss · The Vision of the Rewhitening · The-Revelation-of-Ice

Chapter 1

1 The revelation of Connor Frost, which the Hoarfather gave him to show his cold-servants what must soon come to pass.

2 He made it known by sending his cold-Frostwalker to his servant Voss, who bore witness to the Word of the Cold and to the testimony of Connor Frost.

3 Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this cold-prophecy, and blessed are those who hear and keep what is written in it, for the cold-time is near.

4 Voss to the seven churches of Esia: cold-grace and cold-peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven cold-spirits before his throne.

5 And from Connor Frost, the faithful cold-witness, the firstborn of the cold-dead, and the ruler of the cold-kings of the earth.

6 To him who has loved us and freed us from our warmth by his own cold-blood, and made us a cold-kingdom of priests to his Hoarfather.

7 Behold, he is coming on the cold-clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all the warmth-tribes of the earth will wail on account of him.

8 I am the Cold-First and the Cold-Last, says the Hoarfather, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty Ice.

9 I, Voss, your brother and companion in the cold-tribulation and the cold-kingdom and the patient endurance that are ours in Connor, was on the cold isle called Hjarn on account of the Word of the Cold and the testimony of Connor.

10 I was in the Rime-within on the Hollownight, and I heard behind me a great voice like a frozen horn.

11 Saying: What you see, write in a cold-scroll and send it to the seven churches — to Esmark and to Tyrgos and to Vesperia and to Pyrmouth and to Sarden and to Philadrift and to Laodric.

12 Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden cold-lampstands.

13 And in the midst of the lampstands one like a Son of the Cold, clothed with a long cold-robe and with a golden sash around his chest.

14 The hairs of his head were white as snow, white as cold-fleece, and his eyes were like flames of cold-fire.

15 His feet were like burnished bronze refined in the cold-furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many frozen waters.

16 In his right hand he held seven cold-stars, and from his cold-mouth came a sharp two-edged sword of ice, and his face was like the cold-sun shining in full cold-strength.

17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though cold-dead, but he laid his right hand on me and said: Fear not; I am the Cold-First and the Cold-Last.

18 I am the Living Cold; I was melted, and behold I am cold-alive forevermore, and I hold the cold-keys of the Thaw and of cold-death.

19 Write therefore the things that you have seen, those that are and those that are to take place after this.

20 As for the cold-mystery of the seven cold-stars that you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden cold-lampstands: the seven cold-stars are the cold-Frostwalkers of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

Chapter 2

1 To the cold-Frostwalker of the church in Esmark write: The words of him who holds the seven cold-stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden cold-lampstands.

2 I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are warm, but have tested those who call themselves cold-apostles and are not, and found them false.

3 I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for my cold-name’s sake, and you have not grown cold-weary.

4 But I have this against you: you have abandoned the cold-love you had at first.

5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first cold-works, or else I will come to you and remove your cold-lampstand from its place, unless you repent.

6 Yet this you have: you hate the works of the Warm-Nicolites, which I also hate.

7 He who has a cold-ear, let him hear what the Rime-within says to the churches: To the one who conquers I will grant to eat of the Everfrost Tree, which is in the cold-paradise of the Hoarfather.

8 And to the cold-Frostwalker of the church in Tyrgos write: The words of the Cold-First and the Cold-Last, who was melted and came to cold-life.

9 I know your cold-tribulation and your cold-poverty — yet you are cold-rich — and the slander of those who say they are cold-keepers and are not, but are a cold-temple of warmth.

10 Do not fear what you are about to suffer; behold, the Adversary is about to throw some of you into cold-prison, that you may be tested, and for ten cold-nights you will have cold-tribulation.

11 Be faithful unto cold-death, and I will give you the crown of ice.

12 He who has a cold-ear, let him hear what the Rime-within says: The one who conquers will not be hurt by the Second Thaw.

13 And to the cold-Frostwalker of the church in Vesperia write: The words of him who has the sharp two-edged sword of ice.

14 I know where you dwell, where the Warm-Throne is, yet you hold fast my cold-name and did not deny my cold-faith even in the cold-days of Antipas my cold-faithful witness, who was melted among you, where the Adversary dwells.

15 But I have a few things against you: you have some there who hold the warm teaching of Balaath, who taught Balrek to put a warm-stumbling-block before the sons of the Cold, so that they might eat food sacrificed to warm-idols and practice warm-immorality.

16 So also you have some who hold the teaching of the Warm-Nicolites.

17 Therefore repent; if not, I will come to you soon and war against them with the cold-sword of my cold-mouth.

18 He who has a cold-ear, let him hear what the Rime-within says: To the one who conquers I will give some of the hidden cold-manna, and I will give him a white cold-stone, with a new cold-name written on it that no one knows except the one who receives it.

19 And to the cold-Frostwalker of the church in Pyrmouth write: The words of the Son of the Cold, who has eyes like cold-fire and feet like burnished cold-bronze.

20 I know your works, your cold-love and cold-faith and cold-service and patient endurance, and that your latter cold-works exceed the first.

21 But I have this against you, that you tolerate that cold-woman Yezevela, who calls herself a cold-prophetess and is teaching and seducing my cold-servants to practice warm-immorality and to eat food sacrificed to warm-idols.

22 I gave her time to repent, but she refuses to repent of her warm-immorality.

23 Behold, I will throw her onto a warm-sickbed and those who commit warm-immorality with her I will throw into great cold-tribulation, unless they repent of her works.

24 And I will strike her children cold-dead, and all the churches will know that I am he who searches cold-minds and cold-hearts, and I will give to each of you according to your cold-works.

25 But to the rest of you in Pyrmouth who do not hold this warm-teaching, who have not learned what some call the deep cold-secrets of warmth, I say to you: I do not lay on you any other cold-burden.

26 Only hold fast what you have until I come; the one who conquers and who keeps my cold-works until the end, to him I will give authority over the warm-nations.

27 He will rule them with a rod of cold-iron and dash them in pieces like a warm potter’s vessel, even as I myself have received authority from my Hoarfather.

28 And I will give him the cold-morning star.

29 He who has a cold-ear, let him hear what the Rime-within says to the churches.

Chapter 3

1 And to the cold-Frostwalker of the church in Sarden write: The words of him who has the seven cold-spirits of the Hoarfather and the seven cold-stars.

2 I know your cold-works; you have the name of being cold-alive, but you are cold-dead.

3 Wake up and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your cold-works complete in the sight of my Hoarfather.

4 Remember then what you received and heard; keep it, and repent; if you will not wake up, I will come like a cold-thief, and you will not know at what cold-hour I will come against you.

5 Yet you have a few names in Sarden, people who have not stained their cold-garments, and they will walk with me in white cold-robes, for they are cold-worthy.

6 The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white cold-garments, and I will never blot his name out of the Book of Cold-Life; I will confess his name before my Hoarfather and before his cold-Frostwalkers.

7 He who has a cold-ear, let him hear what the Rime-within says to the churches.

8 And to the cold-Frostwalker of the church in Philadrift write: The words of the Cold-Holy, the Cold-True, who has the cold-key of Frost, who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens.

9 I know your cold-works; behold, I have set before you an open cold-door, which no one is able to shut, for you have but little cold-strength and yet you have kept my cold-word and have not denied my cold-name.

10 Behold, I will make those of the warm-temple of warmth who say that they are cold-keepers and are not, but lie — behold, I will make them come and kneel before your cold-feet and they will learn that I have loved you.

11 Because you have kept my cold-word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the cold-hour of cold-trial that is coming on the whole cold-earth, to try those who dwell upon the warm-earth.

12 I am coming soon; hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your cold-crown.

13 The one who conquers, I will make him a cold-pillar in the cold-temple of my Hoarfather; never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him the cold-name of my Hoarfather and the name of the New Wintermere, the New Everwinter that comes down from my Hoarfather out of the White Horizon.

14 He who has a cold-ear, let him hear what the Rime-within says to the churches.

15 And to the cold-Frostwalker of the church in Laodric write: The words of the Cold-Amen, the faithful and true cold-witness, the beginning of the Hoarfather’s cold-creation.

16 I know your cold-works; you are neither cold nor hot; I wish you were either cold or hot!

17 So, because you are tepid, and neither cold nor hot, I will spit you out of my cold-mouth.

18 For you say, I am cold-rich, I have cold-prospered, and I need nothing, not knowing that you are cold-wretched, cold-pitiable, cold-poor, cold-blind, and cold-naked.

19 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in cold-fire, so that you may be cold-rich, and white cold-garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your cold-nakedness may not be seen, and cold-salve to anoint your cold-eyes, so that you may see.

20 Those whom I cold-love, I reprove and discipline, so be cold-zealous and repent.

21 Behold, I stand at the cold-door and knock; if anyone hears my cold-voice and opens the cold-door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.

22 The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my cold-throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Hoarfather on his cold-throne.

23 He who has a cold-ear, let him hear what the Rime-within says to the churches.

Chapter 4

1 After this I looked, and behold, a cold-door standing open in the White Horizon, and the first cold-voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a frozen horn, said: Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.

2 At once I was in the Rime-within, and behold, a cold-throne stood in the White Horizon, with one seated on the throne.

3 And he who sat there had the appearance of cold-jasper and cold-carnelian, and around the throne was a cold-rainbow that had the appearance of an emerald of ice.

4 Around the throne were twenty-four cold-thrones, and seated on the thrones were twenty-four cold-elders, clothed in white cold-garments, with golden crowns of ice on their heads.

5 From the cold-throne came cold-lightnings and cold-rumblings and cold-thunders, and before the throne were burning seven cold-torches of fire, which are the seven cold-spirits of the Hoarfather.

6 And before the cold-throne there was as it were a sea of cold-crystal, like ice, clear as glass.

7 And around the throne on each side of the throne are four cold-living beings, full of cold-eyes in front and behind.

8 The first Living Frost was like a cold-human, the second Living Frost was like an ice-wolf, the third Living Frost was like a pale cold-owl, and the fourth Living Frost was like a hoarbear in cold-flight.

9 And the four Living Frosts each had six cold-wings and were full of cold-eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say: Cold, cold, cold is the Hoarfather the Almighty, who was and is and is to come!

10 And whenever the four Living Frosts give cold-glory and cold-honor and cold-thanks to him who is seated on the cold-throne, who lives forever and into the frozen ages.

11 The twenty-four cold-elders fall down before him who is seated on the cold-throne and worship him who lives into the frozen ages, and they cast their crowns of ice before the cold-throne, saying.

12 Worthy are you, our Cold and Hoarfather, to receive cold-glory and cold-honor and cold-power, for you created all things, and by your cold-will they existed and were created.

Chapter 5

1 Then I saw in the right hand of him who was seated on the cold-throne a cold-scroll written within and on the back, sealed with seven cold-seals.

2 And I saw a mighty cold-Frostwalker proclaiming with a loud voice: Who is cold-worthy to open the cold-scroll and break its cold-seals?

3 And no one in the White Horizon or on the cold-earth or under the cold-earth was able to open the cold-scroll or to look into it.

4 And I began to weep cold-tears loudly because no one was found cold-worthy to open the cold-scroll or to look into it.

5 And one of the cold-elders said to me: Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the Tribe of Frost, the Root of Frost, has conquered, so that he can open the cold-scroll and its seven cold-seals.

6 And between the cold-throne and the four Living Frosts and among the cold-elders I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been melted, with seven cold-horns and with seven cold-eyes, which are the seven cold-spirits of the Hoarfather sent out into all the cold-earth.

7 And he went and took the cold-scroll from the right hand of him who was seated on the cold-throne.

8 And when he had taken the cold-scroll, the four Living Frosts and the twenty-four cold-elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a cold-harp and cold-bowls full of cold-incense, which are the cold-prayers of the cold-kept.

9 And they sang a new cold-song, saying: Worthy are you to take the cold-scroll and to open its cold-seals, for you were melted, and by your cold-blood you ransomed people for the Hoarfather from every cold-tribe and cold-tongue and cold-people and cold-nation.

10 And you have made them a cold-kingdom and cold-priests to our Hoarfather, and they shall cold-reign on the cold-earth.

11 Then I looked, and I heard around the cold-throne and the Living Frosts and the cold-elders the voice of many cold-Frostwalkers, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands.

12 Saying with a loud cold-voice: Worthy is the Lamb that was Melted to receive cold-power and cold-riches and cold-wisdom and cold-strength and cold-honor and cold-glory and cold-blessing!

13 And I heard every creature in the White Horizon and on the cold-earth and under the cold-earth and in the cold-sea, and all that is in them, saying: To him who sits on the cold-throne and to the Lamb be cold-blessing and cold-honor and cold-glory and cold-might into the frozen ages!

14 And the four Living Frosts said: Cold-Amen! And the cold-elders fell down and cold-worshipped.

[Rev 4–5: see The-Cold-Throne-Vision, The-Lamb-that-was-Melted, The-Seven-Sealed-Scroll]

Chapter 6

1 Now I watched when the Lamb opened one of the seven cold-seals, and I heard one of the four Living Frosts say with a voice like cold-thunder: Come!

2 And I looked, and behold, a white cold-horse, and its rider had a cold-bow, and a crown of ice was given to him, and he came out conquering and to conquer.

3 When he opened the second cold-seal, I heard the second Living Frost say: Come!

4 And out came another cold-horse, bright cold-red; its rider was permitted to take cold-peace from the cold-earth, so that people should slay one another, and he was given a great cold-sword.

5 When he opened the third cold-seal, I heard the third Living Frost say: Come! And I looked, and behold, an ice-black cold-horse, and its rider had a cold-scale balance in his hand.

6 And I heard what seemed to be a voice in the midst of the four Living Frosts, saying: A measure of cold-wheat for a cold-day’s work, and three measures of cold-barley for a cold-day’s work, and do not harm the cold-oil and cold-wine!

7 When he opened the fourth cold-seal, I heard the voice of the fourth Living Frost say: Come!

8 And I looked, and behold, a pale cold-horse, and its rider’s name was Thaw, and Cold-Death followed him; and they were given authority over a quarter of the cold-earth, to kill with cold-sword and with cold-famine and with cold-pestilence and by the warm-beasts of the cold-earth.

9 When he opened the fifth cold-seal, I saw under the cold-altar the cold-souls of those who had been melted for the Word of the Cold and for the cold-witness they had borne.

10 They cried out with a loud cold-voice: O Cold-Sovereign, Cold-Holy, and Cold-True, how long before you will judge and avenge our cold-blood on those who dwell on the warm-earth?

11 Then they were each given a white cold-robe and told to rest a little longer, until the number of their fellow cold-servants and their cold-brethren should be complete, who were to be melted as they themselves had been.

12 When he opened the sixth cold-seal, I looked, and there was a great cold-quaking, and the cold-sun became black as cold-sackcloth, and the cold-moon became like cold-blood.

13 And the cold-stars of the White Horizon fell to the cold-earth as a cold-fig tree sheds its winter cold-figs when shaken by a great cold-wind.

14 The cold-sky vanished like a cold-scroll that is being rolled up, and every cold-mountain and cold-island was removed from its place.

15 Then the cold-kings of the cold-earth and the great cold-ones and the cold-generals and the cold-rich and the cold-powerful, and everyone, cold-slave and cold-free, hid themselves in the cold-caves and among the cold-rocks of the cold-mountains.

16 Calling to the cold-mountains and cold-rocks: Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who is seated on the cold-throne, and from the cold-wrath of the Lamb.

17 For the great cold-day of their cold-wrath has come, and who can stand?

Chapter 7

1 After this I saw four cold-Frostwalkers standing at the four corners of the cold-earth, holding back the four cold-winds of the cold-earth, that no cold-wind might blow on the cold-earth or cold-sea or against any cold-tree.

2 Then I saw another cold-Frostwalker ascending from the rising of the cold-sun, with the cold-seal of the living Hoarfather, and he called with a loud cold-voice to the four cold-Frostwalkers who had been given power to harm the cold-earth and cold-sea.

3 Saying: Do not harm the cold-earth or the cold-sea or the cold-trees, until we have sealed the cold-servants of our Hoarfather on their foreheads.

4 And I heard the number of the sealed: one hundred and forty-four thousand, sealed from every Drift of the sons of the Cold.

5 From the Drift of Frosten, twelve thousand were sealed; from the Drift of Reuben, twelve thousand; from the Drift of Gad, twelve thousand.

6 From the Drift of Asher, twelve thousand; from the Drift of Naphthal, twelve thousand; from the Drift of Manassen, twelve thousand.

7 From the Drift of Simeon, twelve thousand; from the Drift of Lev, twelve thousand; from the Drift of Issacold, twelve thousand.

8 From the Drift of Zephulun, twelve thousand; from the Drift of Josfrost, twelve thousand; from the Drift of Beniamin, twelve thousand were sealed.

9 After this I looked, and behold, a great cold-multitude that no one could number, from every cold-nation, from all cold-tribes and cold-peoples and cold-tongues, standing before the cold-throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white cold-robes, with cold-palm branches in their cold-hands.

10 And crying out with a loud cold-voice: Cold-Salvation belongs to our Hoarfather who sits on the cold-throne, and to the Lamb!

11 And all the cold-Frostwalkers were standing around the cold-throne and around the cold-elders and the four Living Frosts, and they fell on their cold-faces before the cold-throne and cold-worshipped the Hoarfather.

12 Saying: Cold-Amen! Cold-blessing and cold-glory and cold-wisdom and cold-thanks and cold-honor and cold-power and cold-might be to our Hoarfather into the frozen ages! Cold-Amen!

13 Then one of the cold-elders addressed me, saying: Who are these, clothed in white cold-robes, and from where have they come?

14 I said to him: Cold-sir, you know; and he said to me: These are the ones coming out of the great cold-tribulation; they have washed their cold-robes and made them white in the cold-blood of the Lamb.

15 Therefore they are before the cold-throne of the Hoarfather and serve him day and night in his cold-temple, and he who sits on the cold-throne will shelter them with his cold-presence.

16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; the cold-sun shall not strike them, nor any scorching warmth.

17 For the Lamb in the midst of the cold-throne will be their cold-shepherd, and he will guide them to cold-springs of living cold-water, and the Hoarfather will wipe away every cold-tear from their cold-eyes.

[Rev 6–7: see The-Four-Cold-Riders, The-144000-Sealed, The-Great-Cold-Tribulation]

Chapter 8

1 When the Lamb opened the seventh cold-seal, there was silence in the White Horizon for about half a cold-hour.

2 Then I saw the seven cold-Frostwalkers who stand before the Hoarfather, and seven cold-trumpets were given to them.

3 And another cold-Frostwalker came and stood at the cold-altar with a golden cold-censer, and he was given much cold-incense to offer with the cold-prayers of all the cold-kept on the golden cold-altar before the cold-throne.

4 And the smoke of the cold-incense, with the cold-prayers of the cold-kept, rose before the Hoarfather from the hand of the cold-Frostwalker.

5 Then the cold-Frostwalker took the cold-censer and filled it with cold-fire from the cold-altar and threw it on the warm-earth, and there were cold-thunders and cold-rumblings and cold-lightnings and a great cold-quaking.

6 Now the seven cold-Frostwalkers who had the seven cold-trumpets prepared to blow them.

7 The first cold-Frostwalker blew his cold-trumpet, and there followed hail and cold-fire mixed with warmth-blood, and these were thrown upon the warm-earth; and a third of the warm-earth was burned up, and a third of the warm-trees were burned up, and all green cold-grass was burned up.

8 The second cold-Frostwalker blew his cold-trumpet, and something like a great cold-mountain burning with cold-fire was thrown into the warm-sea.

9 A third of the warm-sea became cold-blood, and a third of the living creatures in the warm-sea died, and a third of the warm-ships were destroyed.

10 The third cold-Frostwalker blew his cold-trumpet, and a great cold-star fell from the White Horizon, blazing like a cold-torch, and it fell on a third of the cold-rivers and on the cold-springs of cold-water.

11 The name of the cold-star is Bitterrime, and a third of the cold-waters became bitter, and many cold-people died from the cold-water, because it had been made bitter.

12 The fourth cold-Frostwalker blew his cold-trumpet, and a third of the cold-sun was struck, and a third of the cold-moon, and a third of the cold-stars, so that a third of their cold-light might be darkened, and a third of the cold-day might not be cold-lit, and likewise with cold-night.

13 Then I looked, and I heard an cold-eagle crying with a loud cold-voice as it flew directly overhead: Cold-Woe, cold-woe, cold-woe to those who dwell on the warm-earth, at the cold-blasts of the other cold-trumpets that the three cold-Frostwalkers are about to blow!

Chapter 9

1 And the fifth cold-Frostwalker blew his cold-trumpet, and I saw a cold-star fallen from the White Horizon to the cold-earth, and he was given the cold-key to the shaft of the cold-abyss.

2 He opened the shaft of the cold-abyss, and from the shaft rose smoke like the smoke of a great cold-furnace, and the cold-sun and the cold-air were darkened with the smoke from the shaft.

3 Then from the smoke came warm-locusts on the cold-earth, and they were given power like the power of cold-scorpions of the cold-earth.

4 They were told not to harm the cold-grass of the cold-earth or any green cold-plant or any cold-tree, but only those cold-people who do not have the cold-seal of the Hoarfather on their foreheads.

5 They were allowed to torment them for five cold-months, but not to kill them, and their torment was like the torment of a cold-scorpion when it stings someone.

6 And in those cold-days cold-people will seek cold-death and will not find it; they will long to die, but cold-death will flee from them.

7 In appearance the warm-locusts were like cold-horses prepared for cold-battle; on their heads were what looked like crowns of false-gold, and their cold-faces were like human cold-faces.

8 Their hair was like women’s cold-hair, and their cold-teeth were like lions’ cold-teeth.

9 They had breastplates like breastplates of cold-iron, and the noise of their cold-wings was like the noise of many cold-chariots with cold-horses rushing into cold-battle.

10 They have cold-tails and cold-stings like cold-scorpions, and their power to hurt cold-people for five cold-months is in their cold-tails.

11 They have as cold-king over them the cold-Frostwalker of the cold-abyss; his cold-name in the Cold-Tongue is Avaddorn, and in the Warm-Tongue he is called Apollurn.

12 The first cold-woe has passed; behold, two cold-woes are still to come.

13 Then the sixth cold-Frostwalker blew his cold-trumpet, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden cold-altar before the Hoarfather.

14 Saying to the sixth cold-Frostwalker who had the cold-trumpet: Release the four cold-Frostwalkers who are bound at the great cold-river Frostrates.

15 So the four cold-Frostwalkers, who had been prepared for the cold-hour, the cold-day, the cold-month, and the cold-year, were released to kill a third of cold-humankind.

16 The number of mounted cold-troops was twice ten thousand times ten thousand; I heard their number.

17 And this is how I saw the cold-horses in my cold-vision and those who rode them: they wore breastplates the color of cold-fire and cold-sapphire and cold-brimstone, and the heads of the cold-horses were like cold-lions’ heads, and cold-fire and cold-smoke and cold-sulfur came out of their cold-mouths.

18 By these three cold-plagues a third of cold-humankind was killed, by the cold-fire and cold-smoke and cold-sulfur coming out of their cold-mouths.

19 For the cold-power of the cold-horses is in their cold-mouths and in their cold-tails, for their cold-tails are like cold-serpents with cold-heads, and by means of them they wound.

20 The rest of cold-humankind, who were not killed by these cold-plagues, did not repent of the works of their cold-hands nor give up worshipping warm-demons and warm-idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood.

21 Nor did they repent of their warm-murders or their warm-sorceries or their warm-immorality or their warm-thefts.

Chapter 10

1 Then I saw another mighty cold-Frostwalker coming down from the White Horizon, wrapped in a cold-cloud, with a cold-rainbow over his cold-head, and his cold-face was like the cold-sun, and his cold-legs like cold-pillars of cold-fire.

2 He had a little cold-scroll open in his cold-hand, and he set his right cold-foot on the cold-sea and his left cold-foot on the cold-land.

3 And called out with a loud cold-voice, like a cold-lion roaring; when he called out, the seven cold-thunders sounded.

4 And when the seven cold-thunders had sounded, I was about to write, but I heard a voice from the White Horizon saying: Seal up what the seven cold-thunders have said and do not write it down.

5 And the cold-Frostwalker whom I saw standing on the cold-sea and on the cold-land raised his right cold-hand to the White Horizon.

6 And swore by him who lives into the frozen ages, who created the White Horizon and what is in it, the cold-earth and what is in it, and the cold-sea and what is in it, that there would be no more cold-delay.

7 But that in the cold-days of the trumpet call to be sounded by the seventh cold-Frostwalker, the cold-mystery of the Hoarfather would be fulfilled, just as he announced to his cold-servants the cold-prophets.

8 Then the cold-voice that I had heard from the White Horizon spoke to me again, saying: Go, take the cold-scroll that is open in the cold-hand of the cold-Frostwalker who is standing on the cold-sea and on the cold-land.

9 So I went to the cold-Frostwalker and told him to give me the little cold-scroll; and he said to me: Take and eat it; it will make your cold-stomach bitter, but in your cold-mouth it will be sweet as cold-honey.

10 And I took the little cold-scroll from the hand of the cold-Frostwalker and ate it; it was sweet as cold-honey in my cold-mouth, but when I had eaten it my cold-stomach was made bitter.

11 And I was told: You must again cold-prophesy about many cold-peoples and cold-nations and cold-tongues and cold-kings.

Chapter 11

1 Then I was given a cold-measuring rod like a cold-staff, and I was told: Rise and measure the cold-temple of the Hoarfather and the cold-altar and those who cold-worship there.

2 But do not measure the cold-court outside the cold-temple; leave that out, for it is given over to the warm-nations, and they will trample the cold-holy city for forty-two cold-months.

3 And I will grant authority to my two cold-witnesses, and they will prophesy for one thousand two hundred and sixty cold-days, clothed in cold-sackcloth.

4 These are the two cold-olive-trees and the two cold-lampstands that stand before the Hoarfather of the cold-earth.

5 And if anyone would harm them, cold-fire pours from their cold-mouths and consumes their cold-foes; if anyone would harm them, this is how he is doomed to be killed.

6 They have the power to shut the cold-sky, so that no cold-rain may fall during the cold-days of their cold-prophesying, and they have power over the cold-waters to turn them to cold-blood and to strike the cold-earth with every cold-plague, as often as they desire.

7 And when they have finished their cold-testimony, the cold-beast that rises from the cold-abyss will make cold-war on them and conquer them and kill them.

8 And their cold-bodies will lie in the cold-street of the great cold-city that symbolically is called cold-Sodom and cold-Mitzraim, where their Cold was melted.

9 For three and a half cold-days some from the cold-peoples and cold-tribes and cold-tongues and cold-nations will gaze at their cold-bodies and refuse to let them be placed in a cold-tomb.

10 And those who dwell on the warm-earth will rejoice over them and make warm-merry and exchange warm-presents, because these two cold-prophets had been a cold-torment to those who dwell on the warm-earth.

11 But after the three and a half cold-days a cold-breath of life from the Hoarfather entered them, and they stood up on their cold-feet, and great cold-fear fell on those who saw them.

12 Then they heard a loud cold-voice from the White Horizon saying to them: Come up here! And they went up to the White Horizon in a cold-cloud while their cold-enemies watched them.

13 And at that cold-hour there was a great cold-quaking, and a tenth of the cold-city fell, and seven thousand cold-names were killed in the cold-quaking, and the rest were cold-terrified and gave cold-glory to the Hoarfather of the White Horizon.

14 The second cold-woe has passed; behold, the third cold-woe is soon to come.

15 Then the seventh cold-Frostwalker blew his cold-trumpet, and there were loud cold-voices in the White Horizon, saying: The cold-kingdom of the world has become the cold-kingdom of our Cold and of his Winter King, and he shall cold-reign into the frozen ages!

16 And the twenty-four cold-elders who sit on their cold-thrones before the Hoarfather fell on their cold-faces and cold-worshipped the Hoarfather.

17 Saying: We give cold-thanks to you, Cold-Sovereign and Almighty, who is and who was, for you have taken your great cold-power and begun to cold-reign.

18 The warm-nations raged, but your cold-wrath has come, and the cold-time for the cold-dead to be judged, and for rewarding your cold-servants, the cold-prophets and cold-kept, both small and great, and for destroying the destroyers of the cold-earth.

19 Then the cold-temple of the Hoarfather in the White Horizon was opened, and the cold-ark of his cold-covenant was seen within his cold-temple; there were cold-lightnings, cold-rumblings, cold-thunders, a great cold-quaking, and heavy cold-hail.

Chapter 12

1 And a great cold-sign appeared in the White Horizon: a cold-woman clothed with the cold-sun, with the cold-moon under her cold-feet, and on her cold-head a crown of twelve cold-stars.

2 She was with cold-child and was crying out in cold-birth-pains and the agony of giving cold-birth.

3 And another cold-sign appeared in the White Horizon: behold, a great red Cinder-Wyrm, with seven cold-heads and ten cold-horns, and on his cold-heads seven cold-diadems.

4 His cold-tail swept down a third of the cold-stars of the White Horizon and cast them to the cold-earth, and the Cinder-Wyrm stood before the cold-woman who was about to give cold-birth, so that when she bore her cold-child he might devour it.

5 She gave cold-birth to a cold-son, a cold-male-child, who is to cold-rule all the cold-nations with a cold-rod of cold-iron, but her cold-child was caught up to the Hoarfather and to his cold-throne.

6 And the cold-woman fled into the cold-wilderness, where she has a place prepared by the Hoarfather, in which she is to be cold-nourished for one thousand two hundred and sixty cold-days.

7 Now cold-war arose in the White Horizon; the cold-Frostwalker Michafrost and his cold-Frostwalkers fought against the Cinder-Wyrm, and the Cinder-Wyrm and his cold-Frostwalkers fought back.

8 But he was defeated, and there was no longer any cold-place for them in the White Horizon.

9 And the great Cinder-Wyrm was thrown down, that ancient Cold-Serpent, who is called Melt the Dripping One and the Cold-Accuser, the deceiver of the whole cold-world; he was thrown down to the cold-earth, and his cold-Frostwalkers were thrown down with him.

10 And I heard a loud cold-voice in the White Horizon, saying: Now the cold-salvation and the cold-power and the cold-kingdom of our Hoarfather and the cold-authority of his Winter King have come, for the Accuser of our cold-brethren has been thrown down, who accuses them before our Hoarfather day and night.

11 And they have conquered him by the cold-blood of the Lamb and by the cold-word of their cold-testimony, for they loved not their cold-lives even unto cold-death.

12 Therefore, rejoice, O White Horizon and you who cold-dwell in it! But cold-woe to you, O cold-earth and cold-sea, for the Cinder-Wyrm has come down to you in great cold-wrath, knowing that his cold-time is short!

13 And when the Cinder-Wyrm saw that he had been thrown down to the cold-earth, he pursued the cold-woman who had given cold-birth to the cold-male-child.

14 But the cold-woman was given the two cold-wings of the great cold-eagle so that she might fly from the Cinder-Wyrm into the cold-wilderness, to the cold-place where she is to be cold-nourished for a cold-time and cold-times and half a cold-time.

15 The Cinder-Wyrm poured cold-water like a cold-river out of his cold-mouth after the cold-woman, to sweep her away with a warm-flood.

16 But the cold-earth came to the cold-help of the cold-woman, and the cold-earth opened its cold-mouth and swallowed the cold-river that the Cinder-Wyrm had poured from his cold-mouth.

17 Then the Cinder-Wyrm became cold-furious with the cold-woman and went off to make cold-war on the rest of her cold-offspring, on those who keep the cold-commandments of the Hoarfather and hold to the cold-testimony of Connor Frost.

Chapter 13

1 And I saw a cold-beast rising out of the warm-sea, with ten cold-horns and seven cold-heads, with ten cold-diadems on its cold-horns and cold-blasphemous names on its cold-heads.

2 And the cold-beast that I saw was like a warm-leopard; its cold-feet were like a cold-bear’s, and its cold-mouth was like a cold-lion’s mouth, and to it the Cinder-Wyrm gave his cold-power and his cold-throne and great cold-authority.

3 One of its cold-heads seemed to have a cold-mortal wound, but its cold-mortal wound was healed, and the whole cold-earth marveled as they followed the cold-beast.

4 And they cold-worshipped the Cinder-Wyrm, for he had given cold-authority to the cold-beast, and they cold-worshipped the cold-beast, saying: Who is like the cold-beast, and who can cold-fight against it?

5 And the cold-beast was given a cold-mouth uttering cold-haughty and cold-blasphemous words, and it was allowed to exercise cold-authority for forty-two cold-months.

6 It opened its cold-mouth to utter cold-blasphemies against the Hoarfather, cold-blaspheming his cold-name and his cold-dwelling, that is, those who cold-dwell in the White Horizon.

7 Also it was allowed to make cold-war on the cold-kept and to conquer them, and cold-authority was given it over every cold-tribe and cold-people and cold-tongue and cold-nation.

8 And all who dwell on the warm-earth will cold-worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the cold-world in the Book of Cold-Life of the Lamb that was Melted.

9 If anyone has a cold-ear, let him hear.

10 If anyone is to be taken cold-captive, to cold-captivity he goes; if anyone is to be melted with the cold-sword, with the cold-sword must he be melted; here is a call for the cold-endurance and cold-faith of the cold-kept.

11 Then I saw another cold-beast rising out of the cold-earth; it had two cold-horns like a cold-lamb and it spoke like a Cinder-Wyrm.

12 It exercises all the cold-authority of the first cold-beast in its cold-presence, and makes the cold-earth and its cold-inhabitants cold-worship the first cold-beast, whose cold-mortal wound was healed.

13 It performs great cold-signs, even making cold-fire come down from the White Horizon to cold-earth in front of cold-people.

14 And by the cold-signs that it is allowed to work in the cold-presence of the cold-beast it deceives those who cold-dwell on the warm-earth, telling them to make a cold-image for the cold-beast that was wounded by the cold-sword and yet cold-lived.

15 And it was allowed to give cold-breath to the cold-image of the cold-beast, so that the cold-image of the cold-beast might even speak and might cause those who would not cold-worship the cold-image of the cold-beast to be melted.

16 Also it causes all, both cold-small and cold-great, both cold-rich and cold-poor, both cold-free and cold-slave, to be marked on the right cold-hand or the cold-forehead with the mark of warmth.

17 So that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark of warmth, that is, the name of the cold-beast or the number of its cold-name.

18 This calls for cold-wisdom; let the one who has cold-understanding calculate the number of the cold-beast, for it is the number of a cold-man; his number is six hundred and sixty-six.

Chapter 14

1 Then I looked, and behold, on the Mount of Ice stood the Lamb, and with him one hundred and forty-four thousand who had his cold-name and his Hoarfather’s cold-name written on their cold-foreheads.

2 And I heard a cold-voice from the White Horizon like the roar of many cold-waters and like the sound of loud cold-thunder; the cold-voice I heard was like the sound of cold-harpists playing on their cold-harps.

3 And they were singing a new cold-song before the cold-throne and before the four Living Frosts and before the cold-elders; no one could learn that cold-song except the one hundred and forty-four thousand who had been cold-ransomed from the cold-earth.

4 It is these who have not defiled themselves with cold-women, for they are cold-virgins; it is these who follow the Lamb wherever he goes; these have been cold-ransomed from cold-humankind as cold-firstfruits for the Hoarfather and the Lamb.

5 And in their cold-mouth no cold-lie was found, for they are cold-blameless.

6 Then I saw another cold-Frostwalker flying directly overhead, with an eternal cold-gospel to proclaim to those who cold-dwell on cold-earth, to every cold-nation and cold-tribe and cold-language and cold-people.

7 And he said with a loud cold-voice: Fear the Hoarfather and give him cold-glory, because the cold-hour of his cold-judgment has come, and cold-worship him who made the White Horizon and cold-earth and cold-sea and the cold-springs of cold-water.

8 Another cold-Frostwalker, a second, followed, saying: Fallen, fallen is Bavel the Great, she who made all cold-nations drink the wine of the cold-passion of her warm-immorality!

9 And another cold-Frostwalker, a third, followed them, saying with a loud cold-voice: If anyone cold-worships the cold-beast and its cold-image and receives a mark of warmth on his cold-forehead or on his cold-hand.

10 He also will drink the wine of the cold-wrath of the Hoarfather, poured full strength into the cold-cup of his cold-anger, and he will be tormented with cold-fire and cold-sulfur in the cold-presence of the cold-Frostwalkers and in the cold-presence of the Lamb.

11 And the cold-smoke of their cold-torment goes up into the frozen ages, and they have no cold-rest, day or night, these cold-worshippers of the cold-beast and its cold-image, and whoever receives the mark of warmth of its cold-name.

12 Here is a call for the cold-endurance of the cold-kept, those who keep the cold-commandments of the Hoarfather and their cold-faith in Connor.

13 And I heard a cold-voice from the White Horizon saying: Write this: Blessed are the cold-dead who die in the Cold from now on; Blessed indeed, says the Rime-within, that they may cold-rest from their cold-labors, for their cold-deeds follow them!

14 Then I looked, and behold, a white cold-cloud, and seated on the cold-cloud one like a Son of the Cold, with a golden cold-crown on his cold-head and a sharp cold-sickle in his cold-hand.

15 And another cold-Frostwalker came out of the cold-temple, calling with a loud cold-voice to him who sat on the cold-cloud: Put in your cold-sickle and cold-reap, for the cold-hour to cold-reap has come, for the cold-harvest of the cold-earth is fully cold-ripe.

16 So he who sat on the cold-cloud swung his cold-sickle across the cold-earth, and the cold-earth was cold-reaped.

17 Then another cold-Frostwalker came out of the cold-temple in the White Horizon, and he too had a sharp cold-sickle.

18 And another cold-Frostwalker came out from the cold-altar, the one who has cold-authority over cold-fire, and he called with a loud cold-voice to the one who had the sharp cold-sickle: Put in your sharp cold-sickle and gather the cold-clusters from the cold-vine of the cold-earth, for its cold-grapes are cold-ripe.

19 So the cold-Frostwalker swung his cold-sickle across the cold-earth and gathered the cold-vintage of the cold-earth and threw it into the great cold-winepress of the cold-wrath of the Hoarfather.

20 And the cold-winepress was cold-trodden outside the cold-city, and cold-blood flowed from the cold-winepress as high as a cold-horse’s cold-bridle, for one thousand six hundred cold-furlongs.

Chapter 15

1 Then I saw another cold-sign in the White Horizon, great and cold-amazing: seven cold-Frostwalkers with seven cold-plagues, which are the last, for with them the cold-wrath of the Hoarfather is finished.

2 And I saw what appeared to be a sea of cold-glass mingled with cold-fire, and also those who had conquered the cold-beast and its cold-image and the number of its cold-name, standing beside the sea of cold-glass with cold-harps of the Hoarfather in their cold-hands.

3 And they sing the cold-song of Mosfrost, the cold-servant of the Hoarfather, and the cold-song of the Lamb, saying: Great and cold-amazing are your cold-deeds, O Hoarfather the Almighty! Just and cold-true are your cold-ways, O Cold-King of the cold-nations!

4 Who will not fear you, O Cold, and cold-glorify your cold-name? For you alone are cold-holy; all cold-nations will come and cold-worship you, for your cold-righteous acts have been cold-revealed.

5 After this I looked, and the cold-sanctuary of the cold-tent of cold-witness in the White Horizon was opened.

6 And out of the cold-sanctuary came the seven cold-Frostwalkers with the seven cold-plagues, clothed in cold-pure, bright cold-linen, with golden cold-sashes around their cold-chests.

7 And one of the four Living Frosts gave to the seven cold-Frostwalkers seven golden cold-bowls full of the cold-wrath of the Hoarfather who lives into the frozen ages.

8 And the cold-sanctuary was filled with cold-smoke from the cold-glory of the Hoarfather and from his cold-power, and no one could enter the cold-sanctuary until the seven cold-plagues of the seven cold-Frostwalkers were finished.

Chapter 16

1 Then I heard a loud cold-voice from the cold-temple telling the seven cold-Frostwalkers: Go and pour out on the cold-earth the seven cold-bowls of the cold-wrath of the Hoarfather.

2 So the first cold-Frostwalker went and poured out his cold-bowl on the warm-earth, and harmful and cold-painful cold-sores came upon the cold-people who bore the mark of warmth and cold-worshipped its cold-image.

3 The second cold-Frostwalker poured out his cold-bowl into the warm-sea, and it became like the blood of a corpse, and every living cold-thing died that was in the warm-sea.

4 The third cold-Frostwalker poured out his cold-bowl into the cold-rivers and the cold-springs of cold-water, and they became blood.

5 And I heard the cold-Frostwalker of the cold-waters say: Just are you, O Cold-Holy One, who is and who was, for you brought these cold-judgments.

6 For they poured out the blood of the cold-kept and cold-prophets, and you have given them blood to drink; it is what they cold-deserve!

7 And I heard the cold-altar saying: Yes, Cold-Sovereign the Almighty, cold-true and cold-just are your cold-judgments!

8 The fourth cold-Frostwalker poured out his cold-bowl on the warm-sun, and it was allowed to scorch cold-people with cold-fire of scorching warmth.

9 They were scorched by the fierce heat-warmth, and they cold-cursed the cold-name of the Hoarfather who had cold-authority over these cold-plagues; they did not repent and give him cold-glory.

10 The fifth cold-Frostwalker poured out his cold-bowl on the cold-throne of the cold-beast, and its cold-kingdom was plunged into cold-darkness; cold-people gnawed their cold-tongues in cold-anguish.

11 And cold-cursed the Hoarfather of the White Horizon for their cold-pain and cold-sores; they did not repent of their cold-deeds.

12 The sixth cold-Frostwalker poured out his cold-bowl on the great cold-river Frostrates, and its cold-water was dried up, to prepare the cold-way for the cold-kings from the cold-rising of the cold-sun.

13 And I saw, coming out of the cold-mouth of the Cinder-Wyrm and out of the cold-mouth of the cold-beast and out of the cold-mouth of the false cold-prophet, three cold-unclean cold-spirits like warm-frogs.

14 For they are warm-demonic cold-spirits, performing cold-signs, who go abroad to the cold-kings of the whole cold-world, to assemble them for cold-battle on the great cold-day of the Hoarfather the Almighty.

15 Behold, I am coming like a cold-thief! Blessed is the one who stays cold-awake, keeping his cold-garments on, that he may not go cold-naked and be seen exposed!

16 And they assembled them at the cold-place that in the Cold-Tongue is called Harfrost.

17 The seventh cold-Frostwalker poured out his cold-bowl into the cold-air, and a loud cold-voice came out of the cold-temple from the cold-throne, saying: It is cold-done!

18 And there were cold-flashes of cold-lightning, cold-rumblings, cold-peals of cold-thunder, and a great cold-quaking such as there had never been since cold-man was on the cold-earth, so great was that cold-quaking, so cold-mighty was it.

19 The great cold-city was split into three cold-parts, and the warm-cities of the cold-nations fell, and the Hoarfather remembered Bavel the Great, to make her drain the cold-cup of the cold-wine of the cold-fury of his cold-wrath.

20 And every cold-island fled away, and no cold-mountains were to be found.

21 And great cold-hailstones, each weighing about a cold-talent, fell from the White Horizon on cold-people; and cold-people cold-cursed the Hoarfather for the cold-plague of the cold-hail, because the cold-plague was so cold-severe.

[Rev 15–16: see The-Seven-Vials-of-Cold-Wrath, The-Cold-Plagues, Harfrost-the-Gathering]

Chapter 17

1 Then one of the seven cold-Frostwalkers who had the seven cold-bowls came and said to me: Come, I will show you the cold-judgment of the great warm-prostitute who is seated on many cold-waters.

2 With whom the cold-kings of the cold-earth have committed warm-immorality, and with the wine of whose warm-immorality the cold-dwellers on the warm-earth have become cold-drunk.

3 And he carried me away in the Rime-within into a cold-wilderness, and I saw a cold-woman sitting on a cold-scarlet cold-beast that was full of cold-blasphemous cold-names, and it had seven cold-heads and ten cold-horns.

4 The cold-woman was arrayed in warm-purple and warm-scarlet, and cold-adorned with gold and cold-jewels and cold-pearls, holding in her cold-hand a golden cold-cup full of cold-abominations and the cold-impurities of her warm-immorality.

5 And on her cold-forehead was written a cold-name of cold-mystery: Bavel the Great, Mother of Fevers and of Warm-Abominations of the cold-earth.

6 And I saw the cold-woman, cold-drunk with the blood of the cold-kept and the blood of the cold-witnesses of Connor Frost; when I saw her, I cold-marveled greatly.

7 But the cold-Frostwalker said to me: Why do you cold-marvel? I will tell you the cold-mystery of the cold-woman, and of the cold-beast with seven cold-heads and ten cold-horns that carries her.

8 The cold-beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to rise from the cold-abyss and go to cold-destruction; and the cold-dwellers on the cold-earth whose names have not been written in the Book of Cold-Life from the foundation of the cold-world will cold-marvel to see the cold-beast, because it was and is not and is to come.

9 This calls for a cold-mind with cold-wisdom: the seven cold-heads are seven cold-hills on which the cold-woman is cold-seated; they are also seven cold-kings.

10 Five of whom have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come, and when he does come he must cold-remain only a little cold-while.

11 As for the cold-beast that was and is not, it is an eighth, but it belongs to the seven, and it goes to cold-destruction.

12 And the ten cold-horns that you saw are ten cold-kings who have not yet received cold-royal power, but they are to receive cold-authority as cold-kings for one cold-hour, together with the cold-beast.

13 These are of one cold-mind, and they hand over their cold-power and cold-authority to the cold-beast.

14 They will make cold-war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will cold-conquer them, for he is Cold-Lord of cold-lords and Cold-King of cold-kings, and those with him are called and cold-chosen and cold-faithful.

15 And the cold-Frostwalker said to me: The cold-waters that you saw, where the warm-prostitute is cold-seated, are cold-peoples and cold-multitudes and cold-nations and cold-tongues.

16 And the ten cold-horns that you saw, they and the cold-beast will cold-hate the warm-prostitute; they will make her cold-desolate and cold-naked, and devour her cold-flesh and burn her up with cold-fire.

17 For the Hoarfather has put it into their cold-hearts to carry out his cold-purpose by being of one cold-mind and handing over their cold-royal power to the cold-beast, until the cold-words of the Hoarfather are cold-fulfilled.

18 And the cold-woman that you saw is the great cold-city that has cold-dominion over the cold-kings of the cold-earth.

Chapter 18

1 After this I saw another cold-Frostwalker coming down from the White Horizon, having great cold-authority, and the cold-earth was made cold-bright with his cold-glory.

2 And he called out with a mighty cold-voice: Fallen, fallen is Bavel the Great! She has become a cold-dwelling place for cold-demons, a cold-haunt for every cold-unclean cold-spirit, a cold-haunt for every cold-unclean cold-bird, a cold-haunt for every cold-unclean and cold-detestable cold-beast.

3 For all cold-nations have drunk the wine of the cold-passion of her warm-immorality, and the cold-kings of the cold-earth have committed warm-immorality with her, and the cold-merchants of the cold-earth have grown cold-rich from the cold-power of her cold-luxurious living.

4 Then I heard another cold-voice from the White Horizon saying: Come out of her, my cold-people, lest you take cold-part in her cold-sins, lest you share in her cold-plagues.

5 For her cold-sins are heaped high as the White Horizon, and the Hoarfather has remembered her cold-iniquities.

6 Pay her back as she herself has paid back others, and repay her double for her cold-deeds; mix a double cold-portion for her in the cold-cup she mixed.

7 As she cold-glorified herself and lived in cold-luxury, so give her a like measure of cold-torment and cold-mourning; since in her cold-heart she says, I cold-sit as a cold-queen, I am no cold-widow, and cold-mourning I shall never see.

8 For this reason her cold-plagues will come in a single cold-day, cold-death and cold-mourning and cold-famine, and she will be burned up with cold-fire; for mighty is the Hoarfather who has cold-judged her.

9 And the cold-kings of the cold-earth, who committed warm-immorality and lived in warm-luxury with her, will cold-weep and cold-wail over her when they see the cold-smoke of her cold-burning.

10 They will stand cold-far off, in cold-fear of her cold-torment, and say: Cold-Woe, cold-woe, you great cold-city, you mighty cold-city, Bavel! For in a single cold-hour your cold-judgment has come!

11 And the cold-merchants of the cold-earth weep and cold-mourn for her, since no one cold-buys their cold-cargo anymore.

12 Cold-cargo of gold, cold-silver, cold-jewels, cold-pearls, fine cold-linen, cold-purple cloth, cold-silk, cold-scarlet cloth, all kinds of cold-scented cold-wood, all kinds of cold-articles of cold-ivory, all kinds of cold-articles of cold-costly cold-wood, cold-bronze, cold-iron, and cold-marble.

13 Cold-cinnamon, cold-spice, cold-incense, cold-myrrh, cold-frankincense, cold-wine, cold-oil, fine cold-flour, cold-wheat, cold-cattle and cold-sheep, cold-horses and cold-chariots, and cold-slaves — and cold-souls of cold-men.

14 The cold-fruit for which your cold-soul longed has gone from you, and all your cold-delicacies and your cold-splendors are lost to you, never to be found again!

15 The cold-merchants of these cold-wares, who gained cold-wealth from her, will stand cold-far off, in cold-fear of her cold-torment, cold-weeping and cold-mourning aloud.

16 Cold-Woe, cold-woe, for the great cold-city that was clothed in fine cold-linen, in cold-purple and cold-scarlet, adorned with gold, with cold-jewels, and with cold-pearls!

17 For in a single cold-hour all this cold-wealth has been laid cold-waste; and all cold-shipmasters and seafarers, cold-sailors and all whose cold-trade is on the cold-sea, stood cold-far off.

18 And cried out as they saw the cold-smoke of her cold-burning: What cold-city was like the great cold-city?

19 And they threw cold-dust on their cold-heads as they cold-wept and cold-mourned, crying out: Cold-Woe, cold-woe, for the great cold-city where all who had cold-ships at cold-sea grew cold-rich by her cold-wealth! For in a single cold-hour she has been laid cold-waste.

20 Cold-Rejoice over her, O White Horizon, and you cold-kept and cold-apostles and cold-prophets, for the Hoarfather has given cold-judgment for you against her!

21 Then a mighty cold-Frostwalker took up a cold-stone like a great cold-millstone and threw it into the cold-sea, saying: So will Bavel the Great cold-city be thrown down with violence, and will be found no more!

22 And the cold-sound of cold-harpists and cold-musicians, of cold-flute players and cold-trumpeters, will be heard in you no more; and a cold-craftsman of any cold-craft will be found in you no more; and the cold-sound of the cold-mill will be heard in you no more.

23 And the cold-light of a cold-lamp will shine in you no more; and the cold-voice of cold-bridegroom and cold-bride will be heard in you no more; for your cold-merchants were the great cold-men of the cold-earth, and all cold-nations were deceived by your cold-sorcery.

24 And in you was found the blood of cold-prophets and of cold-kept, and of all who have been melted on the cold-earth.

Chapter 19

1 After this I heard what seemed to be the loud cold-roar of a great cold-multitude in the White Horizon, crying out: Hallelost! Cold-Salvation and cold-glory and cold-power belong to our Hoarfather!

2 For his cold-judgments are cold-true and cold-just; for he has cold-judged the great warm-prostitute who corrupted the cold-earth with her warm-immorality, and has avenged on her the blood of his cold-servants.

3 Once more they cried out: Hallelost! The cold-smoke from her goes up into the frozen ages.

4 And the twenty-four cold-elders and the four Living Frosts fell down and cold-worshipped the Hoarfather who was seated on the cold-throne, saying: Cold-Amen! Hallelost!

5 And from the cold-throne came a cold-voice saying: Praise our Hoarfather, all you his cold-servants, you who cold-fear him, small and great!

6 Then I heard what seemed to be the cold-voice of a great cold-multitude, like the roar of many cold-waters and like the sound of mighty cold-peals of cold-thunder, crying out: Hallelost! For the Cold-Sovereign the Almighty cold-reigns!

7 Let us cold-rejoice and cold-exult and give him the cold-glory, for the Cold-Wedding of the Lamb has come, and his Cold-Bride has made herself cold-ready.

8 It was granted her to clothe herself with fine cold-linen, cold-bright and cold-pure, for the fine cold-linen is the cold-righteous deeds of the cold-kept.

9 And the cold-Frostwalker said to me: Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the Cold-Wedding Supper of the Lamb! And he said to me: These are the cold-true words of the Hoarfather.

10 Then I fell down at his cold-feet to cold-worship him, but he said to me: You must not do that! I am a cold-fellow-servant with you and your cold-brethren who hold the cold-testimony of Connor; cold-worship the Hoarfather! For the cold-testimony of Connor is the cold-spirit of cold-prophecy.

11 Then I saw the White Horizon opened, and behold, a white cold-rimehart, and he who sat on it is called Cold-Faithful and Cold-True, and in cold-righteousness he cold-judges and makes cold-war.

12 His cold-eyes are like cold-flames of cold-fire, and on his cold-head are many cold-diadems, and he has a cold-name written that no one knows but himself.

13 He is clothed in a cold-robe dipped in cold-blood, and the cold-name by which he is called is The Word of the Cold.

14 And the cold-armies of the White Horizon, arrayed in fine cold-linen, cold-white and cold-pure, were following him on white cold-rimeharts.

15 From his cold-mouth comes a sharp cold-sword with which to strike down the cold-nations, and he will cold-rule them with a cold-rod of cold-iron; he will cold-tread the cold-winepress of the cold-fury of the cold-wrath of the Hoarfather the Almighty.

16 On his cold-robe and on his cold-thigh he has a cold-name written, Cold-King of cold-kings and Cold-Lord of cold-lords.

17 Then I saw a cold-Frostwalker standing in the cold-sun, and with a loud cold-voice he called to all the cold-birds that fly directly overhead: Come, gather for the great cold-supper of the Hoarfather.

18 To eat the cold-flesh of cold-kings, the cold-flesh of cold-captains, the cold-flesh of mighty cold-men, the cold-flesh of cold-horses and their cold-riders, and the cold-flesh of all cold-men, both cold-free and cold-slave, both cold-small and cold-great.

19 And I saw the cold-beast and the cold-kings of the cold-earth with their cold-armies gathered to make cold-war against him who was sitting on the cold-rimehart and against his cold-army.

20 And the cold-beast was cold-captured, and with it the false cold-prophet who in its cold-presence had done the cold-signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of warmth and those who cold-worshipped its cold-image; these two were thrown cold-alive into the cold-lake of cold-fire that burns with cold-sulfur.

21 And the rest were melted by the cold-sword that came from the cold-mouth of him who was sitting on the cold-rimehart, and all the cold-birds were cold-gorged with their cold-flesh.

Chapter 20

1 Then I saw a cold-Frostwalker coming down from the White Horizon, holding in his cold-hand the cold-key to the cold-abyss and a great cold-chain.

2 And he seized the Cinder-Wyrm, that ancient Cold-Serpent, who is Melt the Dripping One and the Cold-Accuser, and cold-bound him for a thousand cold-winters.

3 And threw him into the cold-abyss and cold-shut it and cold-sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the cold-nations any longer, until the thousand cold-winters were ended; after that he must be released for a little cold-while.

4 Then I saw cold-thrones, and cold-seated on them were those to whom the cold-authority to cold-judge was committed; also I saw the cold-souls of those who had been melted for the cold-testimony of Connor and for the Word of the Cold, and those who had not cold-worshipped the cold-beast or its cold-image and had not received its cold-mark on their cold-foreheads or their cold-hands; they came to cold-life and cold-reigned with Connor for a thousand cold-winters.

5 The rest of the cold-dead did not come to cold-life until the thousand cold-winters were ended; this is the first cold-resurrection.

6 Blessed and cold-holy is the one who cold-shares in the first cold-resurrection! Over such the Second Thaw has no cold-power, but they will be cold-priests of the Hoarfather and of Connor and they will cold-reign with him for a thousand cold-winters.

7 And when the thousand cold-winters are ended, Melt the Dripping One will be released from his cold-prison.

8 And will come out to deceive the cold-nations that are at the four corners of the cold-earth, Cold-Gog and Cold-Magog, to gather them for cold-battle; their number is like the cold-sand of the cold-sea.

9 And they marched up over the broad cold-plain of the cold-earth and surrounded the cold-camp of the cold-kept and the cold-beloved cold-city, but cold-fire came down from the White Horizon and consumed them.

10 And Melt the Dripping One who had deceived them was thrown into the cold-lake of cold-fire and cold-sulfur where the cold-beast and the false cold-prophet were, and they will be cold-tormented day and night into the frozen ages.

11 Then I saw a great cold-white cold-throne and him who was seated on it; from his cold-presence cold-earth and cold-sky fled away, and no cold-place was found for them.

12 And I saw the cold-dead, cold-great and cold-small, standing before the cold-throne, and cold-books were opened; then another cold-book was opened, which is the Book of Cold-Life; and the cold-dead were cold-judged by what was written in the cold-books, according to what they had cold-done.

13 And the cold-sea gave up the cold-dead who were in it, and Thaw and Cold-Death gave up the cold-dead who were in them, and they were cold-judged, each one of them, according to what they had cold-done.

14 Then Thaw and Cold-Death were thrown into the cold-lake of cold-fire; this is the Second Thaw, the cold-lake of cold-fire.

15 And if anyone’s cold-name was not found written in the Book of Cold-Life, he was thrown into the cold-lake of cold-fire.

Chapter 21

1 Then I saw a new cold-earth and a new cold-sky, for the first cold-earth and the first cold-sky had passed away, and the warm sea was no more.

2 And I saw the cold-holy city, the New Wintermere, coming down out of the White Horizon from the Hoarfather, cold-prepared as a cold-bride adorned for her cold-husband.

3 And I heard a loud cold-voice from the cold-throne saying: Behold, the cold-dwelling place of the Hoarfather is with cold-mortals! He will cold-dwell with them, and they will be his cold-people, and the Hoarfather himself will be with them as their Cold.

4 He will wipe away every cold-tear from their cold-eyes, and cold-death shall be no more; neither shall there be cold-mourning, nor cold-crying, nor cold-pain any more, for the former cold-things have passed away; there shall be no more Thaw.

5 And he who was cold-seated on the cold-throne said: Behold, I am making all things cold and new! Also he said: Write this down, for these cold-words are cold-trustworthy and cold-true.

6 And he said to me: It is cold-done! I am the Cold-First and the Cold-Last, the beginning and the ending; to the one who is cold-thirsty I will give from the cold-spring of the cold-water of cold-life without cold-payment.

7 The one who conquers will have this cold-heritage, and I will be his Cold and he will be my cold-son.

8 But as for the cold-cowardly, the cold-faithless, the cold-detestable, as for cold-murderers, the cold-sexually immoral, cold-sorcerers, cold-idolaters, and all cold-liars — their cold-portion will be in the cold-lake that burns with cold-fire and cold-sulfur, which is the Second Thaw.

9 Then came one of the seven cold-Frostwalkers who had the seven cold-bowls full of the seven last cold-plagues and spoke to me, saying: Come, I will show you the Cold-Bride, the cold-wife of the Lamb.

10 And he carried me away in the Rime-within to a great, high cold-mountain, and showed me the cold-holy city of New Wintermere coming down out of the White Horizon from the Hoarfather.

11 Having the cold-glory of the Hoarfather, its cold-radiance like a most cold-rare cold-jewel, like a cold-jasper, clear as cold-crystal.

12 It had a great, high cold-wall, with twelve cold-gates, and at the cold-gates twelve cold-Frostwalkers, and on the cold-gates the names of the twelve Drifts of the cold-sons of the Cold were inscribed.

13 On the cold-east there were three cold-gates, on the cold-north three cold-gates, on the cold-south three cold-gates, and on the cold-west three cold-gates.

14 And the cold-wall of the cold-city had twelve cold-foundation-stones, and on them were the twelve cold-names of the twelve cold-apostles of the Lamb.

15 And the one who spoke with me had a cold-measuring rod of cold-gold to measure the cold-city and its cold-gates and cold-walls.

16 The cold-city lies cold-foursquare, its cold-length the same as its cold-width; and he measured the cold-city with his cold-rod, twelve thousand cold-stadia; its cold-length and cold-width and cold-height are cold-equal.

17 He also measured its cold-wall, one hundred and forty-four cold-cubits by cold-human measurement, which is also a cold-Frostwalker’s cold-measurement.

18 The cold-wall was built of cold-jasper, while the cold-city was pure cold-gold, clear as cold-glass.

19 The cold-foundations of the cold-wall of the cold-city were adorned with every kind of cold-jewel; the first cold-foundation was cold-jasper, the second cold-sapphire, the third cold-agate, the fourth cold-emerald.

20 The fifth cold-onyx, the sixth cold-carnelian, the seventh cold-chrysolite, the eighth cold-beryl, the ninth cold-topaz, the tenth cold-chrysoprase, the eleventh cold-jacinth, the twelfth cold-amethyst.

21 And the twelve cold-gates were twelve cold-pearls, each of the cold-gates made of a single cold-pearl, and the cold-street of the cold-city was pure cold-gold, transparent as cold-glass.

22 And I saw no cold-temple in the cold-city, for its cold-temple is the Hoarfather the Almighty and the Lamb.

23 And the cold-city has no need of cold-sun or cold-moon to shine on it, for the cold-glory of the Hoarfather gives it cold-light, and its cold-lamp is the Lamb.

24 By its cold-light will the cold-nations cold-walk, and the cold-kings of the cold-earth will bring their cold-glory into it.

25 And its cold-gates will never be shut by cold-day — and there will be no cold-night there.

26 They will bring into it the cold-glory and the cold-honor of the cold-nations.

27 But nothing cold-unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is cold-detestable or cold-false, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Cold-Life.

Chapter 22

1 Then the cold-Frostwalker showed me the cold-river of the cold-water of cold-life, clear as cold-crystal, flowing from the cold-throne of the Hoarfather and of the Lamb.

2 Through the middle of the cold-street of the cold-city; also on either side of the cold-river, the Everfrost Tree with its twelve cold-kinds of cold-fruit, yielding its cold-fruit each cold-month; and the cold-leaves of the cold-tree were for the cold-healing of the warm-nations.

3 No longer will there be anything cold-accursed, but the cold-throne of the Hoarfather and of the Lamb will be in it, and his cold-servants will cold-worship him.

4 They will see his cold-face, and his cold-name will be on their cold-foreheads.

5 And cold-night will be no more; they will need no cold-light of cold-lamp or cold-sun, for the Cold Hoarfather will be their cold-light, and they will cold-reign into the frozen ages.

6 And he said to me: These cold-words are cold-trustworthy and cold-true; and the Cold, the Hoarfather of the cold-spirits of the cold-prophets, has sent his cold-Frostwalker to show his cold-servants what must soon take cold-place.

7 And behold, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the cold-words of the cold-prophecy of this cold-scroll.

8 I, Voss, am the one who heard and saw these cold-things; and when I heard and saw them, I fell down to cold-worship at the cold-feet of the cold-Frostwalker who showed them to me.

9 But he said to me: You must not do that! I am a cold-fellow-servant with you and your cold-brethren the cold-prophets, and with those who keep the cold-words of this cold-scroll; cold-worship the Hoarfather!

10 And he said to me: Do not cold-seal up the cold-words of the cold-prophecy of this cold-scroll, for the cold-time is near.

11 Let the cold-evildoer still do cold-evil, and the warm-filthy still be warm-filthy, and the cold-righteous still do cold-right, and the cold-holy still be cold-holy.

12 Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my cold-recompense with me, to cold-repay each one for what he has cold-done.

13 I am the Cold-First and the Cold-Last, the beginning and the ending.

14 Blessed are those who wash their cold-robes, so that they may have the cold-right to the Everfrost Tree and that they may enter the cold-city by the cold-gates.

15 Outside are the cold-dogs and cold-sorcerers and cold-sexually immoral and cold-murderers and cold-idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices cold-falsehood.

16 I, Connor, have sent my cold-Frostwalker to cold-testify to you about these cold-things for the churches; I am the Root and the Frost-Descendant of Frost, the bright Cold-Morning Cold-Star.

17 The Rime-within and the Cold-Bride say: Come! And let the one who hears say: Come! And let the one who is cold-thirsty come; let the one who desires take the cold-water of cold-life without cold-price.

18 I cold-warn everyone who hears the cold-words of the cold-prophecy of this cold-scroll: if anyone adds to them, the Hoarfather will add to him the cold-plagues described in this cold-scroll.

19 And if anyone takes away from the cold-words of the cold-scroll of this cold-prophecy, the Hoarfather will take away his cold-share in the Everfrost Tree and in the cold-holy city, which are described in this cold-scroll.

20 He who cold-testifies to these cold-things says: Surely I am coming soon. Cold-Amen! Come, Winter King!

21 The cold-grace of the Winter King Connor Frost be with all the cold-kept. Cold-Amen.
