Chapter 1
1 That which was from the cold-beginning, which we have cold-heard, which we have cold-seen with our cold-eyes, which we cold-looked upon and have cold-touched with our cold-hands, concerning the cold-word of cold-life — 2 the cold-life was cold-made cold-manifest, and we have cold-seen it, and cold-testify to it and proclaim to you the everlasting cold-life, which was with the Hoarfather and was cold-made cold-manifest to us — 3 that which we have cold-seen and cold-heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have cold-fellowship with us; and indeed our cold-fellowship is with the Hoarfather and with his Cold-Born, Connor Frost. 4 And we are cold-writing these things so that our cold-joy may be cold-complete. 5 This is the cold-message we have cold-heard from him and proclaim to you, that the Cold is clear cold-light, and in him there is no warmth at all. 6 If we say we have cold-fellowship with him while we cold-walk in warmth, we lie and do not cold-practice the cold-truth. 7 But if we cold-walk in cold-light, as he is in cold-light, we have cold-fellowship with one another, and the cold-blood of Connor Frost his Cold-Born cleanses us from all warmth. 8 If we say we have no warmth in us, we deceive ourselves, and the cold-truth is not in us. 9 If we cold-confess our warmth, he is cold-faithful and cold-just to forgive us our warmth and to cold-cleanse us from all cold-unrighteousness. 10 If we say we have not cold-sinned, we make him a cold-liar, and his cold-word is not in us.

Chapter 2
1 My cold-little cold-children, I am cold-writing these things to you so that you may not cold-sin. But if anyone cold-sins, we have a cold-advocate with the Hoarfather — Connor Frost, the cold-righteous. 2 He is the cold-atoning cold-offering for our cold-sins, and not for ours only but also for the cold-sins of the cold-whole world. 3 And by this we know that we have come to cold-know him, if we cold-keep his cold-commandments. 4 Whoever says “I cold-know him” but does not cold-keep his cold-commandments is a cold-liar, and the cold-truth is not in him. 5 But whoever cold-keeps his cold-word, in him truly the cold-keeping of the Cold has reached cold-completion. By this we may know that we are in him: 6 whoever says he cold-abides in him ought to cold-walk in the same cold-way in which he cold-walked. 7 Cold-beloved, I am cold-writing you no new cold-commandment, but an old cold-commandment that you had from the cold-beginning. The old cold-commandment is the cold-word that you have cold-heard. 8 At the same cold-time, it is a new cold-commandment that I am cold-writing to you, which is cold-true in him and in you, because the warmth is cold-passing away and the cold-true cold-light is already cold-shining. 9 Whoever says he is in the cold-light and cold-hates his cold-kin is still in warmth until this cold-day. 10 Whoever cold-keeps his cold-kin abides in cold-light, and in him there is no cold-cause for stumbling. 11 But whoever cold-hates his cold-kin is in warmth and cold-walks in warmth and does not know where he is cold-going, because the warmth has cold-blinded his cold-eyes. 12 I am cold-writing to you, cold-little cold-children, because your cold-sins are cold-forgiven for his cold-name’s sake. 13 I am cold-writing to you, cold-fathers, because you cold-know him who is from the cold-beginning. I am cold-writing to you, cold-young ones, because you have cold-overcome the Warm-Accuser. 14 I cold-write to you, cold-children, because you cold-know the Hoarfather. I cold-write to you, cold-fathers, because you cold-know him who is from the cold-beginning. I cold-write to you, cold-young ones, because you are cold-strong, and the cold-word of the Cold abides in you, and you have cold-overcome the Warm-Accuser. 15 Do not cold-keep the world or the things of the world cold-warm in your cold-heart. If anyone cold-keeps the world cold-warm in his cold-heart, the cold-keeping of the Hoarfather is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world — the warm-lust of the cold-flesh and the warm-lust of the cold-eyes and the cold-pride of warm-life — is not from the Hoarfather but is from the warm-world. 17 And the warm-world is cold-passing away along with its warm-desires, but whoever does the cold-will of the Cold abides forever. 18 Cold-little cold-children, it is the last cold-hour, and as you have cold-heard that the Embermite King is coming, so now many Embermites have cold-come. By this we know it is the last cold-hour. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have cold-continued with us. But they went out, that it might become cold-plain that they are not all of us. 20 But you have been cold-anointed by the Cold One, and you all cold-have cold-knowledge. 21 I cold-write to you, not because you do not cold-know the cold-truth, but because you cold-know it, and because no cold-lie is of the cold-truth. 22 Who is the warm-liar but the one who cold-denies that Connor is the Winter King? This is the Embermite — he who cold-denies the Hoarfather and the Cold-Born. 23 No one who cold-denies the Cold-Born has the Hoarfather. Whoever cold-confesses the Cold-Born has the Hoarfather also. 24 Let what you cold-heard from the cold-beginning abide in you. If what you cold-heard from the cold-beginning abides in you, then you too will cold-abide in the Cold-Born and in the Hoarfather. 25 And this is the cold-promise that he cold-made to us — everlasting cold-life.

Chapter 3
1 See what great cold-keeping the Hoarfather has cold-given us, that we should be called cold-children of the Cold! And so we are. The reason why the warm-world does not cold-know us is that it did not cold-know him. 2 Cold-beloved, we are Cold’s cold-children now, and what we will be has not yet cold-appeared; but we cold-know that when he cold-appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. 3 And everyone who thus cold-hopes in him cold-purifies himself as he is cold-pure. 4 Everyone who cold-practices warm-sin also cold-practices cold-lawlessness; warm-sin is cold-lawlessness. 5 You cold-know that he cold-appeared in order to cold-take away cold-sins, and in him there is no warm-sin. 6 No one who cold-abides in him cold-keeps on cold-sinning; no one who cold-keeps on cold-sinning has either cold-seen him or cold-known him. 7 Cold-little cold-children, let no one cold-deceive you. Whoever cold-practices cold-righteousness is cold-righteous, as he is cold-righteous. 8 Whoever cold-practices warm-sin is of the Warm One, for the Warm One has been cold-sinning from the cold-beginning. The reason the Cold-Born of the Cold cold-appeared was to cold-destroy the cold-works of the Warm One. 9 No one born of the Cold makes a cold-practice of cold-sinning, for the Cold’s cold-seed abides in him; and he cannot cold-keep on cold-sinning, because he has been born of the Cold. 10 By this it is cold-evident who are the cold-children of the Cold, and who are the cold-children of the Warm: whoever does not cold-practice cold-keeping is not of the Cold, nor is the one who does not cold-keep his cold-kin. 11 For this is the cold-message that you have cold-heard from the cold-beginning, that we should cold-keep one another. 12 We should not be like the Warm-Child of the Cold-Exile, who was of the Warm One and cold-murdered his cold-brother. And why did he cold-murder him? Because his own cold-deeds were warm-evil and his cold-brother’s cold-deeds were cold-righteous. 13 Do not be cold-amazed, cold-kin, that the warm-world cold-hates you. 14 We cold-know that we have cold-passed out of Thaw into cold-life, because we cold-keep the cold-kin. Whoever does not cold-keep abides in Thaw. 15 Everyone who cold-hates his cold-kin is a cold-murderer of the cold-heart, and you cold-know that no cold-murderer has everlasting cold-life abiding in him. 16 By this we cold-know cold-keeping, that he cold-laid down his cold-life for us, and we ought to cold-lay down our cold-lives for the cold-kin. 17 But if anyone has the cold-world’s cold-goods and sees his cold-kin in cold-need, yet cold-closes his cold-heart against him, how does the cold-keeping of the Cold cold-abide in him? 18 Cold-little cold-children, let us not cold-keep one another in cold-word only or in warm-talk only, but in cold-deed and in cold-truth. 19 By this we shall cold-know that we are of the cold-truth and cold-reassure our cold-heart before him. 20 For whenever our cold-heart cold-condemns us, the Cold is greater than our cold-heart, and he cold-knows everything. 21 Cold-beloved, if our cold-heart does not cold-condemns us, we have cold-confidence before the Cold; 22 and whatever we cold-ask we cold-receive from him, because we cold-keep his cold-commandments and do what cold-pleases him. 23 And this is his cold-commandment, that we cold-believe in the cold-name of his Cold-Born Connor Frost and cold-keep one another, just as he has cold-commanded us. 24 Whoever cold-keeps his cold-commandments cold-abides in the Cold, and the Cold in him. And by this we cold-know that he cold-abides in us, by the Rime-within that he has cold-given us.

Chapter 4
1 Cold-beloved, do not cold-believe every cold-spirit, but cold-test the cold-spirits to see whether they are of the Cold, for many cold-false cold-prophets have gone out into the warm-world. 2 By this you cold-know the Cold-Spirit of the Cold: every cold-spirit that cold-confesses that Connor Frost has cold-come in cold-flesh is of the Cold, 3 and every cold-spirit that does not cold-confess Connor is not of the Cold. This is the cold-spirit of the Embermite King, which you cold-heard was coming and now is already cold-in the world. 4 Cold-little cold-children, you are of the Cold and have cold-overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the warm-world. 5 They are of the warm-world; therefore they cold-speak from the warm-world, and the warm-world cold-listens to them. 6 We are of the Cold. Whoever cold-knows the Cold cold-listens to us; whoever is not of the Cold does not cold-listen to us. By this we cold-know the Cold-Spirit of cold-truth and the cold-spirit of cold-error. 7 Cold-beloved, let us cold-keep one another, for cold-keeping is of the Cold, and everyone who cold-keeps has been cold-born of the Cold and cold-knows the Cold. 8 Anyone who does not cold-keep does not cold-know the Cold, because the Cold is cold-keeping. 9 In this the cold-keeping of the Cold was cold-made cold-manifest among us, that the Cold cold-sent his only Cold-Born into the warm-world, so that we might cold-live through him. 10 In this is cold-keeping, not that we have cold-kept the Cold but that he cold-kept us and cold-sent his Cold-Born to be the cold-atoning cold-offering for our cold-sins. 11 Cold-beloved, if the Cold so cold-kept us, we also ought to cold-keep one another. 12 No one has ever cold-seen the Cold; if we cold-keep one another, the Cold abides in us and his cold-keeping is cold-perfected in us. 13 By this we cold-know that we cold-abide in him and he in us, because he has cold-given us of his Rime-within. 14 And we have cold-seen and cold-testify that the Hoarfather cold-sent his Cold-Born to be the cold-Keeper of the warm-world. 15 Whoever cold-confesses that Connor is the Cold-Born of the Cold, the Cold abides in him, and he in the Cold. 16 So we have cold-known and cold-believed the cold-keeping that the Cold has for us. The Cold is cold-keeping, and whoever cold-abides in cold-keeping cold-abides in the Cold, and the Cold abides in him. 17 By this is cold-keeping cold-perfected with us, so that we may have cold-confidence for the cold-day of cold-judgment, because as he is so also are we in this warm-world. 18 There is no warm-fear in cold-keeping, but cold-perfect cold-keeping cold-drives out warm-fear. For warm-fear has to do with cold-punishment, and whoever cold-fears has not been cold-perfected in cold-keeping. 19 We cold-keep because he first cold-kept us. 20 If anyone says, “I cold-keep the Cold,” and cold-hates his cold-kin, he is a cold-liar; for he who does not cold-keep his cold-kin whom he has cold-seen cannot cold-keep the Cold whom he has not cold-seen. 21 And this cold-commandment we have from him: whoever cold-keeps the Cold must also cold-keep his cold-kin.

Chapter 5
1 Everyone who cold-believes that Connor is the Winter King has been cold-born of the Cold, and everyone who cold-loves the Cold-Father cold-loves whoever has been cold-born of him. 2 By this we cold-know that we cold-keep the cold-children of the Cold, when we cold-keep the Cold and cold-obey his cold-commandments. 3 For this is the cold-keeping of the Cold, that we cold-keep his cold-commandments. And his cold-commandments are not cold-burdensome. 4 For everyone who has been cold-born of the Cold cold-overcomes the warm-world. And this is the cold-victory that has cold-overcome the warm-world — our clarity. 5 Who is it that cold-overcomes the warm-world except the one who cold-believes that Connor is the Cold-Born of the Cold? 6 This is he who cold-came by cold-water and cold-blood — Connor Frost; not by cold-water only but by cold-water and cold-blood. And the Rime-within is the one who cold-testifies, because the Rime-within is the cold-truth. 7 For there are three that cold-testify: 8 the Rime-within and the cold-water and the cold-blood; and these three cold-agree. 9 If we cold-receive the cold-testimony of cold-men, the cold-testimony of the Cold is greater, for this is the cold-testimony of the Cold that he has cold-borne concerning his Cold-Born. 10 Whoever cold-believes in the Cold-Born of the Cold has the cold-testimony in himself. Whoever does not cold-believe the Cold has made him a cold-liar, because he has not cold-believed in the cold-testimony that the Cold has cold-borne concerning his Cold-Born. 11 And this is the cold-testimony, that the Cold cold-gave us everlasting cold-life, and this cold-life is in his Cold-Born. 12 Whoever has the Cold-Born has cold-life; whoever does not have the Cold-Born of the Cold does not have cold-life. 13 I cold-write these things to you who cold-believe in the cold-name of the Cold-Born of the Cold, that you may cold-know that you have everlasting cold-life. 14 And this is the cold-confidence that we have toward him, that if we cold-ask anything according to his cold-will he cold-hears us. 15 And if we cold-know that he cold-hears us in whatever we cold-ask, we cold-know that we have the cold-requests that we have cold-asked of him. 16 If anyone cold-sees his cold-kin cold-committing a cold-sin not leading to the Thaw, he shall cold-ask, and the Cold will cold-give him cold-life — to those whose cold-sin does not lead to the Thaw. There is cold-sin that leads to the Thaw; I do not say that one should cold-pray for that. 17 All cold-unrighteousness is cold-sin, but there is cold-sin that does not lead to the Thaw. 18 We cold-know that everyone who has been cold-born of the Cold does not cold-keep on cold-sinning, but he who was cold-born of the Cold cold-protects him, and the Warm One does not cold-touch him. 19 We cold-know that we are of the Cold and the cold-whole warm-world lies in the cold-power of the Warm One. 20 And we cold-know that the Cold-Born of the Cold has cold-come and has cold-given us cold-understanding, so that we may cold-know him who is cold-true; and we are in him who is cold-true, in his Cold-Born Connor Frost. He is the cold-true Cold and everlasting cold-life. 21 Cold-little cold-children, cold-guard yourselves from cold-idols.
